Kevin Aram was born in 1949 in Clipstone, UK. He began his career as a luthier in 1978, and to date has built over 300 guitars. He has restored old instruments by historic luthiers (Arias, Esteso, Santos Hernandez, Manuel Ramirez...), which has allowed him to study them. In 1991, Kevin Aram settled in beautiful North Devon, where he concentrated on building guitars in the tradition of Antonio de Torres. Julian Bream has owned two of Kevin Aram's guitars: the 1986 "Cancion" and the 1988 "Myrtle", with which he recorded the "Chansons populaires catalanes" on the album "la Guitarra Romantica".
